Description
This project is to design and build from scratch a vehicle speed measurement device similar to what law enforcement officials use. The solution will have to consider functional and non-functional requirements; the design will have to consider alternative measurement solutions (e.g., radar, lidar?) and justifications of choices will be crutial; the problem of calibration will have to be handled with care in order to obtain relatively accurate measurements (perhaps through the design of another piece of equipment that cab attached to a car wheel). Plans are to use the device on campus but also on nearby Bronson Avenue.
