Description

Sensors are widely used for biomedical monitoring such as blood pressure and body temperature. A goal of this project is to develop a miniature device to monitor physiological/physical activities of your interest using multiple sensors. Students will work on: finding an application; selecting or developing sensors; developing measurement algorithm and method for sensor calibration; designing electronic circuit (bridge, amplifier, filter, etc.); constructing data acquisition system with a multi-channel A/D converter; and computer programming of data acquisition, data analysis, and GUI to control the system and display the results. It would be suitable that the project team is composed of 3-4 students; each may have expertise on electronic circuit, electrical measurements, system design and construction, signal processing and/or computer programming.
